Southwark Street Bridge Lights - changing colours and the mood of Southwark Road

On my last trip to London I stayed in a cheap and cheerful Holiday Inn Express on Southwark Street, on my way into town I spotted this art work on the wall beneath a bridge on Southwark Street. The installation has actually been there since 2008 and has been likened to bubble wrap or even the side of a Dalek from Doctor Who.

At the time I only had my iPhone on me but the pictures didn't come out too badly, I personally think that installations like this help brighten up an otherwise normal or even drab area. I realize others might disagree.

Welcome to my Sabrinas London Diaries

I am not a londoner but do have to visit the big smoke every week for business trips and the like. I hope to bring you an outsiders view to London including the sites, sounds, offers, flavours and little gems the city has to offer.

My blog differs from others as I do not live in London, in my opinion this is better - it's the old cliche of you don't visit the best things if you live in a place. For example I am from Weston-Super-Mare and never go to the beach.

Any hoo I am rambling a bit now, let's get on with the blogging.
